Color Therapy for Depression

Colors have been widely used in folk tales to identify certain emotions.

Famous among it is the use of red to identify anger. The different civilizations and cultures around the world identify itself with a particular color and use it widely in homes and other public places. Modern researches have shown that certain type of colors can affect the mood of a person. The color of food also is said to bring in mood changes.

Using your favorite color or any pleasant color in homes, cars, office and other common areas can treat mild depression. Colors are also used in psychotherapy. Color therapy should only be used as a combination therapy as there is still no conclusive evidence to prove its effect in treating depression.
