Exercise and Depression

So much has been said of the effect that exercise has on a healthy life. In the case of depression too exercise is highly helpful. Researches after researches have shown that being active is the best form of treatment for depression. Exercises for depression should increase the heart rate and should produce some sweat; otherwise it is of no use.
Regular exercise boosts the production of vital chemicals in the body. Half an hour of exercise daily - this can be walking, jogging, swimming, dancing, aerobics or any other form - is ideal for people suffering from depression. Along with normal exercises practicing breathing exercises can be of great help. Practicing ‘Yoga' and ‘Tai Chi' is also highly helpful.
